AOUP visit to Coventry Cathedral and Coughton Court
Thurs 16th and Wed 22nd April 2026

The current Cathedral, dedicated to St Peter and designed by Basil Spence, was consecrated in 1962 to replace the 15th Century Church destroyed by an incendiary bomb in 1940. We will take a guided tour of the new Cathedral and the ruins of the earlier church. In the afternoon we will transfer to Coughton Court, a 16th Century Hall with a gatehouse dedicated to King Henry VIII.
REFRESHMENTS: Bring own packed lunch, lunch facilities available at Coughton Court.
