Syon House is Grade 1 listed, the lavish home of the Duke of Northumberland. Originally built in the early 16th Century for the Duke of Somerset, the house has a Great Hall based on a Roman Basilica. In the 18th Century the House was redesigned by Robert Adam, who gave the interior a distinctive neoclassical style including five Adam fireplaces. Syon has a Garden of 30 acres, within a 200-acre park transformed by ‘Capability’ Brown, and a conservatory designed in 1820s by Charles Fowler. We will have guided tours of both the House and the Garden.
